We are looking for individuals who are interested in supporting our family engagement program, Padres Comprometidos (Parents as Partners), by helping with childcare during our weekly workshops. Facilitators would supervise and play with kids ages 3-15 years old for our Parents as Partners program at local elementary and Middle  school. The programs will meet once a week for 9 weeks. Individuals can sign up on a combination of days but should commit to at least 3 sessions. 

Interested individuals must pass a background check. The background check will require a payment of $32, which will be reimbursed. Those who cannot commit to 3 sessions must cover the cost of their own background check ($32) or provide proof of background check. Spanish speakers are a plus, but not required. During all activities, children and facilitators must be masked, regardless of vaccination status. 

We are in great need of volunteers but have some limited funding for paid childcare facilitators (pay rate at $9.50 per hour). Paid facilitators must be able to attend at least 8 of the 9 program sessions.  Please contact volunteer@conexionamericas.org with availability and note preference for volunteer or paid hours. • 17+ years of age - under 18 must have parental consent and ability to accompany to background check
• Mature, responsible, extremely reliable
• Firm, fun, & kind w/ youth
• Paid - minimum of 8 sessions for one program
• Unpaid - 3 sessions or be willing to cover cost of background check
